It is a verse that has two sides, with sentimentalists arguing that everyone has the right to hear about Krishna’s private activities and lust. The pure devotees, on the other hand, say that hearing about Krishna’s private activities will only increase lust. In either case, the verse is known as the Sword verse.
Lord Shiva is the supreme ruler of the universe
According to the Srimad-Bhagavatam, Lord Shiva is the supreme ruler of the entire universe. He is the heart of the demigods and oversees the material energy that Krishna generates. He is also called “Isvara” in the text.
The Srimad-Bhagavatam is the supreme scripture of Hinduism and is one of the oldest known works of sacred literature in the world. It describes the evolution of Shiva as the ultimate god of the Shaivites. Many hymns in the Rig Veda are addressed to Shiva. The Puranas portray Shiva as the supreme deity and act as a guide for worship.
The Mahakala form of Shiva is the supreme ruler of the universe. In this form, Shiva is known as the Supreme Time and the all-pervading beingness. Impersonalists worship Shiva as brahman since He never sheds his personal nature.
Lord Krsna struck down Banasura’s army
In the Srimad-Bhagavatam, Lord Krsna defeats Banasura’s army and saves the world from destruction. Banasura was an intelligent, liberal and faithful general who never strayed from his word or promises. His army consisted of many thousand soldiers. His name is derived from the word Banasura, meaning “bang” and “sorcerer”. The soldiers under Banasura’s army were the most powerful in the world.
Banasura was a mighty warrior and had a huge army, but the Lord was not only a powerful warrior but also a compassionate soul. Lord Krsna defeated his army in a spectacular manner. He first put the army in confusion by harassing its followers, and then struck them with a club. This caused Banasura’s army to scatter in all directions.
Lord Krsna’s army consisted of many different types of demons. It included Bhutas, Pramathas, Guhyakas, Dakinis, Yatudhanas, and Vinayakas. The Bhutas, which represent demonic education demons, were destroyed in the battle. The Matas represented child-like demons. There were also Brahma-rakshasas, fallen brahmins.
Lord Krsna broke through the rock fortifications
The demigod Indra once asked Lord Krsna to kill a demon named Narakasura. Lord Krsna agreed, but after the business was finished, Indra quarrelled with Him. This is typical of demigods – they are prideful and angry, and love to show off their power and wealth. In Srimad-Bhagavatam, Lord Krsna appears as sixteen thousand one hundred forms in the form of various women, and He accepts various kinds of service from His consorts.
Lord Krsna fought Bhaumasura and his seven sons using swords and lances, tridents, and arrows. The mighty Bhaumasura’s army was composed of ten million defenders, including seven elephants and horses. They had weapons such as swords, spears, lances, and tridents, and they also had elephants that were born from the milk ocean.
Lord Krsna also saw sixteen thousand royal maidens in the city of Dvaraka. These maidens were taken from different kings by Bhaumasura. The maidens had accepted Krsna as their husband. Then, Lord Krsna went to the capital city of Bhaumasura and received Sudama. He also transformed Sudama’s humble house into a palace and brought eight mystic treasures to kingly Dvaraka.
Lord Krsna used His sword, club and arrows to defeat Banasura’s army
Lord Krsna’s sword, club and arrows were a perfect combination to defeat Banasura’s army. Banasura, also known as Banasur Sagar Dam, was an asura in Hindu mythology. He ruled from the kingdom of Sonitapura. His battle with Krishna is described in the Bhagavata Purana.
Lord Krsna’s army was accompanied by many great yogis. His army was made up of seventy-five thousand men. Each warrior carried a club and arrows. The chiefs of the Satvata clan included Pradyumna, Satyaki and Gada. Together, they formed twelve divisions and surrounded Banasura’s capital. The battle was a fierce one. The army was nearly equal in size.
The arrows that Lord Krsna used were also effective in killing Banasura’s army. Lord Krsna’s arrows had an eerie effect on Lord Shiva, who released the ultimate death weapon, Shivajvara. Shivajvara is a god of destruction. Its rays caused the sun to be twelve times hotter than usual. Lord Krsna also destroyed the demons with His sword, club and arrows.
